A number of optional utilities have been developed to enable users customize and
integrate SigCap with their own environments so as to meet specific
requirements, optimize benefits, and performance.
Central Gateway
The Central Gateway Module is a 32-bit windows application designed to
distribute and synchronize the SigCap signature database across branches in a
distributed signature database configuration. In-built job scheduling features
makes it possible to automate gateway sessions, maintaining enterprise
synchronization, at all times, with no user intervention.
Branch Update Module
The Branch Update Module is designed to maintain the synchronization of the
signature database between the various branches throughout the banking
infrastructure. It facilitates two primary functions. Firstly, it enables
account information specific to a particular branch to be extracted to create a
Branch Only Database for any one of the bank's branches. Secondly, the Branch
Update Module is responsible for the transfer of new or modified account
information forming part of the main bank database to the databases created and
maintained at each of the respective branches.
Import Utility
The Import Utility is designed to simplify the task of extracting account
details from existing banking systems. Running this utility reduces the data
entry at capture stations by facilitating the extraction of data from existing
banking systems to the SigCap format.
Auto-Dormant-Flagging Utility
This utility is run from a capture station where it facilitates the automatic
flagging (or unflagging) of dormant accounts based on information from the
banking application. Full security and supervisory verification is maintained.
Auto-Delete Utility
This utility allows the deletion of multiple accounts simultaneously from a
capture station, based on information from the banking application. Full
security and supervisory verification is maintained.
Batch Cheque Verification Module
SigCap can be integrated with cheque clearance systems utilizing cheque image
and MICR scanners. The Batch Cheque Verification Module allows batches to be
processed automatically by displaying each cheque image and retrieving account
details from MICR-encoded information.
Offline Branch Update Utility
The Offline Branch Update utility provides a set of tools to backup and restore
changes to the signature database between the head office and those branches,
which do not have WAN connectivity. I.E., Banks with branches at remote
locations where WAN connectivity is not possible can most benefit from this
utility.
This way the bank remains synchronized throughout its infrastructure, even while
certain branches do not have WAN connectivity.
Account Extractor Utility
It provides logs to convert data from one type of SigCap database to another.
This would reduce the license cost.
Merge Database Utility
With the help of this utility, organizations would now be able to merge the same
type of databases into one common database.
